The project idea was selected for presentation at the kick off conference in St. Johann in Pongau, Austria (June 2007). All partners were involved in the project preparation. Activities included reducing and reorganising the partnership, collecting information for the pilot sites, writing the relevant parts of the proposal. Each country has a dedicated national responsible who was involved in overall organisation. The different regions defined the different water problems of the countries and transboundary regions where relevant.
