The communication objectives are to raise awareness of the Alpine Space Priority Axis 3 on Environmental and Risk Prevention for a general public and to demonstrate the geographical advantages of analysing these problems across representative sites across the Alps. More specifically, awareness is to be raised on water scarcity problems and both passive and active participation is to be fostered. Sharing of information and knowledge is a major goal. Different target groups are to be identified at the regional, national and transalpine level. Dissemination is to be a continual process throughout the project enabled by the Lead Partner and all the individual Project Partners. Visualisation is to be based on maps, graphs and film animations of different regions and time periods in the Alps with Water Scarcity.

Dissemination will be based on website, Stakeholder Interaction Forum, press and media, CDs, newsletters, reports, handbooks, distributing folders, advice on how to handle problems concerning water scarcity, workshops, round tables, meetings, questionnaires and the Resource Centre of the Mountain Institute (in particular Lead Partner and Z-GIS). Visits of the pilot sites will be undertaken by stakeholders and the press. Translation into national languages will be offered for all important issues.
